What would you most like to change in yourself or your life? Are there are aspects of yourself that you would like to emphasize or make more effective? Are there aspects you would like to see diminish or even disappear?
I will work with you to identify and diminish personal impediments to a healthy functional life even as we work to strengthen your assets. It really is possible to stop old patterns that waste your energy. It is possible to use that energy in new constructive ways.

My approach is holistic, emphasizing the mind/body connection and sometimes using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Contextual and Intergenerational Family Systems, Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, Focusing, Thought Field Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. My 35 years of experience and extensive training allow great flexibility in discovering modalities that will work for each individual.

You may wish to work on a variety of issues such as:

* Problematic relationships
* Family conflict in gay/lesbian, or heterosexual relationships
* Past trauma and abuse, sexual, physical or verbal.
* Parenting issues
* Self-esteem
* Performance or work concerns
* Communication difficulties
* Transition after a divorce
* Re-marriage
* Adoption
* Infertility
* Chronic illness
* Chronic pain

I work successfully with adults, teens, and children in the context of their families
