Family Therapy is a modality, but it is also a perspective that views each person as part of a system, whether it is a biological family, an extended family system, or a social network. There is power in understanding your place in your system and the opportunities to make desired change. Change can occur with the entire family present or with one motivated member. Old patterns can be resolved and your place in them changed.
* Conflict and resentments can be changed.
* Parenting can be strengthened, changing childrens’ behavior.
* It is possible to reconnect and begin new patterns.
* It is possible to resolve conflicting loyalties.
We can discuss desired changes, and planning can include who might need to be present and in which combinations to help meet your goals.
